The Young Professional Committee hopes the following links and information may help you as you enter your professional career in Kansas. We are happy to help answer any questions you may have as you begin practicing in Kansas.

Athletic Trainer Certification

To practice in the state of Kansas, an athletic trainer must be in good standing and certified by the Board of Certification (BOC) AND hold a Kansas State License. You may view your certification status at: BOC

Yearly Requirements

  • There is a yearly $50 maintenance fee
  • You must maintain and provide documentation of a CPR certification throughout the duration of the certification cycle
  • Every 2 years you must obtain and provide documentation for a total of 50 continuing education units (CEUs). 10 of these CEUs must be categorized as Evidence Based Practice Units (EBPs).
